For those of you that have been following me and American Frontline Nurses since 2020, you may be familiar with the attack that was waged against me and my nonprofit for helping covid patients receive safe, equitable, and appropriate care. Because of this relentless psychological and toxic stress, I suffered mental health issues such as severe anxiety and depression that I had to seek medical care for. The only solution offered to me was to take anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medication for a "chemical imbalance" that could not be measured to increase my "serotonin in my [your] brain" even though most of the serotonin is created in the gut. Antidepressants did not help support my stress response, lower my elevated cortisol levels, or help aid my adrenal fatigue from the constant psychological abuse I was experiencing from deranged TikTok nurses and doctors. Worst of all, it made me less present and active in my own life. I remember several days were I literally just stared at the ceiling.


I undertook an extensive research mission to find something to help me manage the toxic stress I was under and that lead me to adaptogenic mushrooms such as ashwagandha and Lion's Mane.
